Gabriella D’Abreau is a Trinidad-based multidisciplinary artist working primarily in acrylic, oil, watercolour and mixed media. Her paintings move between abstraction, surrealism and the figurative not as separate pursuits but as a single, ongoing conversation with colour, texture and the human experience.

Her process is rooted in intuition and surrender; a practice built on the belief that creativity moves through us rather than from us. She follows the work where it leads, allowing serendipity to shape what intention begins.

Gabriella holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from St. John’s University, New York, graduating with highest honours. Her work has been shown across Trinidad and Tobago through two solo exhibitions, multiple group shows and juried exhibitions, with her most recent solo show held in 2022. Beyond her studio practice, she was a contributing author to the updated edition of Visual Arts for Secondary Schools, published by Hachette Learning, with her painting also selected for the cover.
